Sara is driven by a profound passion for advocating for children and supporting them through situations beyond their control. With a compassionate approach and a commitment to empowerment, Sara strives to be a catalyst for change, providing guidance and support to those navigating difficult circumstances. Through advocacy, empathy, and collaboration, Sara aspires to create a brighter and more hopeful future for children and families alike.
Sara has a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School. Sara plans to practice family law following her graduation in May of 2025.
In Sara’s role at the Iowa Center for Children’s Justice, she coordinates and facilitates the Children’s Divorce Workshops and ensures that curriculum is maintained, and children leave learning at least one new thing.
