The Iowa Center for Children’s Justice hosts regular events to connect with families and stakeholders across our community.
SAVE THE DATE: Champions for Children Thursday, September 17, 2026

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, ICCJ will host Champions for Children, our premier fundraising event.
The evening will spotlight the heart of our mission:
- Honoring Leaders: celebrating the recipients of the Leadership Award and Advocacy Award.
- Building Community: reconnecting with fellow ICCJ supporters.
- Gathering in Style: The beautiful event space at Gilbert & Cook creates the perfect backdrop for a night of celebration and impact.
We are now also accepting nominations for the 2026 Champions for Children Awards.
Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals who have made a meaningful impact on children and families through leadership or advocacy.
Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Past Champions for Children honorees include:
Carol Bodensteiner – 2025 Champions for Children Advocate Award
Retired Juvenile Judge Constance “Connie” Cohen – 2025 Champions for Children Leadership Award
Mindy O’Donnell – 2024 Champions for Children Advocate Award
Bruce Buchanan (posthumously) – Champions for Children Leadership Award
Funds raised through Champions for Children will directly support ICCJ’s programs, including youth divorce workshops and legal representation for children in high-conflict custody cases. These services provide critical support to children navigating some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

Look Good, Do Good at Mr. B Clothing Thursday, June 11, 2026
Thank you to those who shopped and supported ICCJ at Mr. B Clothing this year! The event raised over $4,400 for ICCJ programs, helping provide critical services for children and families navigating high-conflict custody cases.
